Wool from rare sheep from the Shetland Islands in the north of Scotland. The wool is
characterised by its softness, bounce and lustre due to the harsh winters and humid weather,
as well as the rearing environment in which the sheep are fed on sea grass as a side food.

スコットランドの北部にあるシェットランド諸島に生息する羊からとれるウール。

シェットランド種の羊は生息数がかぎられ、1頭あたりから得られる産毛量が少なくアンダーコートといわれる内側の毛だけを使います。

厳しい冬の寒さや湿度の高い天候、それに海草を副食に採るなどの飼育環境によって柔らかい毛質をもつのが特徴でハリと光沢があります。
